I have attached the multiples plan shell scripts I have used to

pdf files are the original ones form Red Hat.

I don't think that Red Hat as provided any updated guide, if we are
missing any please point them here or add them to bugs.centos.org.

nice writeup, just my 2 cents: consider adding a lockfile if the script
is used automatically in a crontab ;)

...
# try to create the lock and check the outcome
LOCKFILE=/var/run/rsync-home.lock
lockfile -r 0 ${LOCKFILE} 1>/dev/null 2>&1
status=$?

if [ ${status} -ne 0 ] ;then
echo "Another instance already running. Aborting."
exit 1
fi
trap "rm ${LOCKFILE}" EXIT

# body of the script here
...

other examples are also available in the centos-mirror mailing list archives.

to be verified: you need to make a GUI install, the text mode installation
method does not have the lvm creation feature.

why not just pvresize /dev/mapper/lvm ?

lvextend /dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00

These could/should be supported by the people forking from

The black/blue text on dark pink background is definitely not readable, imho
too.

But we can use the 4 colors backgroud with a more readable color font
to make the subtopic clearly recogniseable:

dark pink: current events
green: news
orange: documentation
dark blue: donations/contributions
