Eh, it should. But you are right (see the spanish pages, it works
there).

Must be some configuration option in the plugin.

Let me look.

Dear Ralph.

That's how it did it actually.

I could not reproduce this behavior. E.g. if I open a not (yet)
existing page like:

http://wiki.centos.org/de/TipsAndTricks/ResizeExt3

it does not automatically redirect to the English one. Same if you
link to a page like this.

You *need* to keep the original names. If our wiki finds a page in de/
space (or es/ for what it's worth) and the page isn't there, it
automatically redirects to the english page.

This gives you the possibility to completely translate link pages (like
de/TipsAndTricks) *including* relative links - and if the german page
isn't there, you'll get the english one.

Cheers,

Ralph

Should I name the translated pages like the original ones, e.g.
TipsAndTricks/CDtoDVDMedia or should I also translate the WikiPage
name (to something like DVDmitCDMedienerstellen)?

Also I am not sure if I should use the formal 'Sie' or the informal
'Du' on the German pages of CentOS.org?

Go ahead: You have to create pages like that:

http://wiki.centos.org/de/TipsAndTricks/FooBar?action=edit

as you would be redirected to the english page automagically, otherwise.

Have fun (I'll be watching over your translations) >:)

[CentOS-docs] Access to Wiki Pages

2008-07-17 Thread Marcus Moeller
Hi all,

It would be great if you could grant me access to some wiki pages. Starting
off with my personal one: ;)

http://wiki.centos.org/MarcusMoeller

Also I want to start translating some parts into German, so it would be
great if you could create a:

http://wiki.centos.org/de/TipsAndTricks

and grant me access to this page and all sub-pages.

Best Regards
