That's not written anywhere, yet. I'll see if I can make a doc PR to fix that. Gr. Stefan P.s. this option really does more harm than good IMHO. Mixed clusters with cephfs / RGW mixed with RBD pools, and or newly created pools, will run into this issue sooner or later. -- | BIT BV http://www.bit.nl/Kamer van Koophandel 09090351 | GPG: 0xD14839C6 +31 318 648 688 / i...@bit.nl ___ ceph-users mailing list ceph-users@lists.ceph.com http://lists.ceph.com/listinfo.cgi/ceph-users-ceph.com

The error will go away once you start storing data in the other pools. Or, you could simply silence the message with mon_pg_warn_max_object_skew = 0 On Thu, Jun 7, 2018 at 10:48 AM, Torin Woltjer wrote: > I have a ceph cluster and status shows this error: pool libvirt-pool has > many more objects per pg than average (too few pgs?) [ceph-users] pool has many more objects per pg than average
I have a ceph cluster and status shows this error: pool libvirt-pool has many more objects per pg than average (too few pgs?) This pool has the most stored in it currently, by a large margin. The other pools are underutilized currently, but are purposed to take a role much greater than libvirt-pool. Once the other pools begin storing more objects, will this error go away, or am I misunderstanding the message? ___ ceph-users mailing list ceph-users@lists.ceph.com http://lists.ceph.com/listinfo.cgi/ceph-users-ceph.com
