But I am actively seeking more clients so I can keep food on the table. On a related note, I'm rather impressed with our members on the whole. We can and do fight like cats and dogs but I've seen people of opposing viewpoints meet on some issues and have seen people who would kill each other on one issue be able to put it totally aside when the issue wasn't being discussed. I agree about the list. I have made some very good friends here, including some that I butt heads with over politics on a regular basis. But there a couple of people I've encountered here that I would not willingly break bread with, so my choice to avoid them, and I cannot do that and participate in the political discussions. You should have a Refuah Shelama (a complete healing). I hope you're just avoiding the political threads rather than bowing out of the list in general. On a related note, I'm rather impressed with our members on the whole. We can and do fight like cats and dogs but I've seen people of opposing viewpoints meet on some issues and have seen people who would kill each other on one issue be able to put it totally aside when the issue wasn't being discussed. I'll point to Eric on this. We're of extremely different viewpoints on a certain subject and can get downright nasty with each other when that subject comes up but any other time we're not only civil but friendly. If he needed me for something I'd be there to the best of my ability without any hesitation. I think that this is a general assessment of the list members as a whole. But yes, some topics are just fodder for hard discussion, have the attractive power of a black hole, and it can be tiring in the extreme. Better to save the energy and heal. Also a failing kidney due to a reaction to the contrast agent used during a medical procedure, and a toe with the bones completely crushed. I'm doing a lot of data conversions, moving stuff from relational databases to Big Data tools and migrating content from various CMS systems. Maureen... I know this discussion has gotten quite contentious. These are serious matters. No one wants to give ground easily and it's difficult to discuss such matters with any clarity and understanding in just a few days. All that aside, I do wish you well. I harbor no ill feelings towards you.4 I hope you find peace and healing from your past traumas. Those kinds of events do fade, but never disappear. Have peace, dear, and know that you will always have friends around.
