SCAD-Atlanta seeks qualified applicants for the Web programmer position in communications. The position is responsible for supporting the college's Web site, primarily focusing on the SCAD e-Learning site, by integrating and programming Web solutions. The programmer will use knowledge and experience to ensure the college Web site is meeting the needs and demands of prospective students and the college portal, MySCAD, is meeting the needs of current students, alumni, faculty and staff. Duties include assisting in streaming media and webcasts, supporting weblog tracking and review, assisting in college mass e-mail needs, WC3 compliance, layout of HTML forms and interfaces, assists in maintaining an accurate production calendar. Bachelor's degree required in related field with knowledge and experience in HTML, CSS, ColdFusion, PHP, ASP, MySQL and search engine optimization. The successful candidate will display strong technical ability and be motivated in learning new technologies. A strong work ethic is essential. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels and work in a team-oriented environment is essential. Background should include several Web-based projects and working with dynamic Web sites (using a CMS based on ColdFusion), as well as with SCT products, including Blackboard, Banner and Luminous. Must be familiar with ADA compliance and W3C standards. A bachelor's degree and relevant experience required. Must fill immediately.
