Actually the attack was pure JS. The source code of the exploit makes for a good read - it demonstrates the things that need to be considered in sanitising user input, which even paranoid people might not consider. Re: Any other Rich Text Editors?
Has anyone else managed to get the FCKEditor file uploader/browser working in IE? I have it working a treat in Firefox, but not in IE, which leads me to think it's a IE security setting rather than a configuration setting in FCKEditor. What happens in IE is I click on the image button, the dialog box opens, but when I click on the file browser button, nothing happens. In Firefox, a new window opens and I can see user files there, select images and insert them into the text, just how it's supposed to work. Not in IE though. Ok, not to worry. I found what I was doing wrong and fixed it. It was a IE configuration thing not a FCKEditor thing. This is the first version of FCKEditor I have deployed that's worked just fine for all the features I need to use. IT's excellent. Consuming web services involving complex parameters
Hi there. I hope someone can help me with this problem before I slowly go insane. I am trying to consume a webservice, where the input parameter is defined as a collection. The documentation looks like this: ?xml version=1.0 encoding=utf-8? soap:Envelope xmlns:xsi=http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance; xmlns:xsd=http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema; xmlns:soap=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/; soap:Body DummyTestMethod4 xmlns=http://www.at2.com.au/Member/webservices/; testCollection testStruct _testStruct strTeststring/strTest bolTestboolean/bolTest /_testStruct _testStruct strTeststring/strTest bolTestboolean/bolTest /_testStruct /testStruct /testCollection /DummyTestMethod4 /soap:Body /soap:Envelope Alternatively, the wsdl file looks like this: s:element name=DummyTestMethod4 s:complexType s:sequence s:element minOccurs=1 maxOccurs=1 name=testCollection type=s0:_testCollection / /s:sequence /s:complexType /s:element s:complexType name=_testCollection s:sequence s:element minOccurs=0 maxOccurs=1 name=testStruct type=s0:ArrayOf_testStruct / /s:sequence /s:complexType s:complexType name=ArrayOf_testStruct s:sequence s:element minOccurs=0 maxOccurs=unbounded name=_testStruct type=s0:_testStruct / /s:sequence /s:complexType s:complexType name=_testStruct s:sequence s:element minOccurs=0 maxOccurs=1 name=strTest type=s:string / s:element minOccurs=1 maxOccurs=1 name=bolTest type=s:boolean / /s:sequence /s:complexType I would have assumed that I needed to create the parameter as follows: cfset stCollection=StructNew() cfset stTest=StructNew() cfset aTest=ArrayNew(1) cfloop index=Count from=1 to=2 cfset stInner=StructNew() cfset stInner.strTest=foo cfset stInner.bolTest=false cfset ArrayAppend(aTest,stInner) /cfloop cfset stTest.testStruct=aTest cfset stCollection.testCollection=stTest cfinvoke webservice=http://www.at2.com.au/member/webservices/wsCreateMember.asmx?wsd l method=DummyTestMethod4 returnvariable=returnVar cfinvokeargument name=testCollection value=#stCollection# /cfinvoke However I get the following error message: Web service operation DummyTestMethod4 with parameters {testCollection={{TESTCOLLECTION={{TESTSTRUCT={[{STRTEST={foo},BOLTEST={fals e}}, {STRTEST={foo},BOLTEST={false}}]}} could not be found. In fact, no matter how I use structures and arrays to create a parameter for this web service, I get the same error. It's driving me insane. Anyone able to help me here please? Another Credit Card processing issue.
I have a client that that is in the tourism biz. The have trips that they fill that have a limited number of seats for. The problem is that they have people reserving seats and not showing up at the last minute. They now want to reserve seats using a credit card number and a sepcialized reservation system (that I will be developing). That way they can use that credit card number to charge the customer (who is AWARE that cancelling past a certain time will result in a charge) for the reservation. Now here are my questions. How do I/IS it possible to safely get and save this information via a private SSL on a shared hosting server. My sql is my only DB option, although if I push it I probably could get (read: fund by client) SQL Server 2000? What do I do with it safely, since they do not actually want to charge at the time of reserevation, but want to keep it incase of no show? They want to use their current processor to run the credit card number through (Some card companies frown on this) upon no shows. they really don't want to have the added expense of another processor. Re: applications in applications
Sorry to take so long to get back to this well, I had to make some changes because I have something in place that I'm trying to get it to work with, so some things will be different. Still, I can't get it to work yet. When I check that a login is valid, whichever app that does that, I write a number given to me to session.dn. Re: Consuming web services involving complex parameters
Garry -- Howdy. You're welcome to help yourself to the now-shelved pharmacopoeia of antipsychotics I amassed while trying myself to solve this problem many moons ago. Alternatively, here are some non-pharmaceutical resources that may help you: If you check the LiveDocs for the Handling complex data types topic (http://livedocs.macromedia.com/coldfusion/7/htmldocs/1554.htm), you'll see some helpful starting tips there plus, at the bottom, an added comment of mine which leads to a support forum thread (one of a few I posted on this topic over the last couple of years or so) which again poses the question I think you're asking -- and the solution. However, there are formatting constraints in the support forums, and a better formatted version of the solution is also posted elsewhere (http://hcc.musc.edu/research/shared_resources/xml_complex_types_to_cf_structure_notes.cfm). I hope this helps. Re: Another Credit Card processing issue.
Depends on their processor. This is similar to a recurring charge type of situation. You could charge their card a nominal reservation fee and then hit it up for the balance if they no-show (kind of like a bar hitting your card for $50 when you start a tab and then ammending the transaction when you tab out). CFCs, webservices and CFTRANSACTION
Hey All, The setup: I have webservices that are essentially wrappers for internal CFCs. They perform some added valoidation, but essentially pass arguments through to internal CFCs. They often call multiple internal CFCs which each have a CFTRANSACTION block. The problem: I really need ALL the methods called by the webservices to either to commit the data they are attempting to or all data changes across all methods called by a webservices should be rolled back. Of course as we know you cannot nest CFTRANSACTION blocks. So whatya think I should do? I did think of removing the CFTRANSACTION blocks from the internal CFCs, but that doesn't seem right.then developers would have to know to wrap calls to the methods in those CFCs with CFTRANSACTIONand that flys in the face of the black box characteristics of CFCsall you should need to know about them is their name and the arguments and associated data types (it would also mean webservice consumers could skip the CFTRANSACTION step and screw my data). RE: QoQ, CFQueryParam and LIKE
Yeah, good point. Or maybe figure out a way to directly query the DB instead of QofQ (which is what I usually end up doing in these cases). SQL Server supports subqueries, as I'm sure you know. So you should be able to emulate the QofQ you're trying to do by doing a single query with a subquery. A timeout alert
Hi. I am working on a forum application. There is a fixed time to respond to each posting. I want the user responding to a posting to get an alert, even if he is typing at the last minute, saying: Sorry, this posting has reached its expiration time, you are being taken to the home page now. There's a db field that holds the expiration time for each posting. That's what we will compare the current time to. Or maybe start a timer as soon as the user comes to the page, and display an alert at the end of the timer. Any ideas how to do this in CF? Code examples will help. Re: tmt_img java error, anyone have any ideas?
Hi Andy, I don't have an headless system, so this is just a shot in the dark, but I did a small change to the Java API calls inside the CFC. Please test it out on your server and let me know if it works. Best Massimo Foti Tools for ColdFusion and Dreamweaver developers: http://www.massimocorner.com - Original Message - From: Andy Matthews [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: CF-Talk cf-talk@houseoffusion.com Sent: Tuesday, October 18, 2005 4:39 PM Subject: tmt_img java error, anyone have any ideas? So I'm using Massimo's tmt_img.cfc file which works perfectly on my windows machine. I ran into problems though when porting the code to my web server, which runs headless. I finally got my sysadmin to configure the system to allow me to use the cfc, and it works...sort of. I can getHeight and getWidth, but when it tries to resize an image, I get an error: Failed to resize image Object Instantiation Exception. Error occured on line 198. That line is inside the bufferedResize function of the CFC which appears to be the portion of code actually doing the resizing. As I mentioned, it works flawlessly on my local machine, which leads me to think that there's some difference in my server's Java configuration. My sys guy just told me that he installed upgraded Java to 1.4.1. This is the last thing I need solved before I can push this code to the client. Does anyone have any ideas? Anyone run into this problem with tmt_img or another java based image manipulation CFC? Thanks in advance. !//-- andy matthews web developer ICGLink, Inc. RE: A timeout alert
Sounds like a job for javascript or if you need it to work 100% of the time, when you load the form, encrypt the current time, and place a hidden field containing this value. when the form is posted, decrypt the value and compare it to the current time. if the timeout has been exceeded, give them the message, a link back to the home page, and put a meta refresh header in. -Original Message- From: Matthew Small [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 18 October 2005 18:58 To: CF-Talk Subject: RE: A timeout alert Sounds like a job for javascript. Or maybe start a timer as soon as the user comes to the page, and display an alert at the end of the timer. Any ideas how to do this in CF? Code examples will help. Bryan...simma down now. I had my sysadmin use those args and I'm still getting the same error. LOL...and a good MadTV ref to boot!! ;-) Just FYI...the jvm.config file is VERY sensitive. If memory serves I had to make sure to dload from server in binary mode (not ascii)...edit very precisely (seemed as though spaces even caused issues)..upload over file on server (which of course was backed up before starting this...hehe)cycle CF services. Use CF to find the difference from now until your time in milliseconds, then use the following code to execute it. Say your time is five minutes from now: 5 minutes * 60 seconds * 1000 milliseconds = 30 milliseconds script lang=javascript function TimeExpired() { alert (Your time is up!); window.location.href = http://server.com/somepage.html;; } /script body onload=setTimeout('TimeExpired();', 30 ); I haven't tested this but I think it will do the trick. I have a production CF 5.0 box that's throwing the following: Error Number 232 occured attempting to close conncetion to webserver and.. Windows Error 109. I'm pretty sure the 109 error is the end user shutting down the browser. I'm not sure what the 232 error is. MM says it has to do with MS Access DSN's however there are no active Access DSN's (the one's that are there haven't been used in years) or... that it's the CF Graphing engine, which isn't being used. I've also forced the CF Management and repository to rebuild it's .store files. The really odd thing is that the error is showing up in the logs very frequently (every few seconds). any ideas? PDF Creations Issues : some comps work, others don't
OK - What I thought was a problem just with an update from Microsoft may be something else - Issue: CFDOCUMENT, PDF format will display for some computers, and not others. Factors: Two computers which seem to have the same version of Acrobat Reader (7 version) or Professional (6 version), one will display, the other will not. Error: For those that don't display, they indicate the file does not start with %PDF- but checking the physical file (downloading the file first, which still throws the same error), shows %PDF- as the file start. Problem exists in IE and Firefox, and when opened after download in the reader it self. Where the problem exists, it exists all the time. Does anybody have any thoughts or previous experience regarding this issue? I've gone through most of the debugging and isolating steps that I can think of at this time. Stephen R. Re: Spam:Another Credit Card processing issue.
That might work, but the client want the person to be able to pay them the remainder by any means once they arrive So technically the process would be to reserve the spot, charge minimal amount and reserve the spot. They then could pay the remainder in cash, check, that credit card, different credit card at time of arrival. If they no show, my client would be able to go into authorize.nethttp://authorize.netand charge the remainder to their card. IS that possible through something like authorize.net http://authorize.net?? Jeff On 10/18/05, Robert Redpath [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: What about 2 delayed capture transactions? Problems Making a CF DSN to SQL Server
Hello All, I need to do some work on a clients site locally on my machine. This is a new laptop that has just been installed for me. I have installed CF 6.1 on the machine because that what the customer is using and Sql Server. I am not able however to get an MS SQL dsn in CF to work. I go to data sources in the CF Admin Add the Datasource Name and select Microsoft SQL Server as a Driver On the next screen I enter the database name, the server (my machine name) username and password. But the message that I get is Connection Verification failed for data source : mydsn Error Establishing Socket: Connection refused : Connect But if I make the DSN via the OBDC manager in windows, then point to that DSN using the ODBC socket option it works? What am I doing wrong? Shouldn't I be able to just connect. RE: Another Credit Card processing issue.
That would work as well. The reservation would create 2 Authorization transactions: a cancellation fee and a trip fee. So the permutations are: 1. client doesn't show - therefore Delay Capture the cancellation fee, void the trip Authorization 2. client shows pays credit card - therefore Delay Capture the trip fee, void the cancellation Authorization 3. client shows pays cash/other - therefore void the cancellation trip fee and take the cash This should work with any card processor. AFAIK From: J W [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tue 10/18/2005 3:45 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: RE:Another Credit Card processing issue. Anyone ever run into this type of thing? Any suggestions? Legal implications?? Thanks, Jeff ~| Logware (www.logware.us): a new and convenient web-based time tracking application. Mickael, Add an entry in your host file for your machine - or use localhost or 127.0.0.1. When you say my machine name' you are really talking about an NBT name - and the JDBC system would not be able to resolve that. Re: Credit Card processing
I host with but haven't used this service, but Crystal Tech offers their CTMerchantlite as an option for merchants who process $1000 or LESS per month with these features: - *ZERO Merchant Application Fees* - Some merchant providers can charge $100 or more to have your Merchant Account set up. With the CTmerchantlite solution, those fees are waived. - *NO Contract and ZERO Cancellation Fees* - Many times, merchant processors will make you commit to a long term contract, and then make you pay a high fee if you cancel your contract before it expires. With CTmerchantlite, you are not committing to a yearly (or longer) contract, and therefore there is no cancellation fee to worry about. - *Low Transaction Costs* - CTmerchantlite offers extremely low per transaction costs and discount percentages, putting more money back in your pocket versus paying out to your merchant provider. - *Fast turnaround* - Once you complete the application process, you will be contacted by a Newtek Customer Service Representative and have your account set up and active within 48-72 hours. - *Virtually Guaranteed Approval* - Newtek manages a 99% approval process, so you are virtually guaranteed to have your account up and active when you need it. - *Professionally Trained Customer Service* - Newtek Merchant Solutions hires and trains all of their own employees, giving you the service and support you need every step of the way. - *Flexibility* - Merchants can begin with the CTmerchantlite Payment Solution and then move to the standard CTmerchant Solution once they consistently process over $1000.00 in monthly sales. While there is a one-time transfer fee of $25, giving you the ability to change your Payment Solution means you have the ability to select the solution that is the most advantageous to your business. SOT: Image (or File) Organizer
All, One of the apps I am working on involves a fair bit of file-management. Most of the files are images or media like audio/video clips. Occasionally one of the bunches of files have to organized in some fashion involving order of display. I can hack around with JavaScript and have a select list populated with the filenames and have the users manipulate it using buttons. But a better solution would be where they can see image representations of the files (or images) and manipulate/organize them by click and drag. So obviously I either need something in Flash or a Java applet that would do this. Are there any such scripts or swfs out there that anyone is aware of? Keep in mind that the script/swf would have to be part of a form that the user would ultimately submit to update their display order in a database. Re: A timeout alert
The only client side aproach for this tha i can think of, is with flash, it already has a timer that starts when the swf loads, so you would just need to read tha variable and when the time comes you give the alert and send him to the page you need, it´s not harder than with JS and it will always work. For example: www.domain.com/page.cfm?newURL=www.domain.com/page2.cfm?var1=avar2=b In other words on page2.cfm I should reference #URL.newURL# outputs www.domain.com/page2.cfm?var1=avar2=b Thanks ~| Logware (www.logware.us): a new and convenient web-based time tracking application. RE: Running a shell script
You'd have to play around with it, but I've created scripts for telnet clients before. If you write a script for your favorite ssh/telnet client to login to the linux server and execute the shell script, you can then cfexecute that script. -Original Message- From: Richard Colman [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, October 18, 2005 3:17 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: Running a shell script Does anyone know how to execute a shell script on a remote linux server, from Cold Fusion running on a Windows server? Re: URL Variables
You can encrypt newurl value and decrypt it in your action page. Simple and cool. Or use session vars to store that url vars. Cheers. MD 2005/10/18, B G [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Is this possible? Re: URL Variables
perhaps...if you wrap it in a URLEncodedFormat(). otherwise, if the ? after 'page2.cfm' doesn't break it, the after var1=a certainly will (well, not break it...but it won't work like you're expecting) :) On 10/18/05, B G [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Is this possible?
