Re: Help requested - Syntax for GROUP BY with HAVING ... ommitted code
I don't see how that SQL would work. You are using deptName in your select list and order by, but you aren't grouping by it. Unless MySQL allows you to do stuff that SQL Server doesn't, that should throw an error. Also, I had originally suggested placing the amount in the group by, but I hadn't noticed that you were getting the avg and sum of the amount column as well so you probably don't want to be grouping by amount. To use an aggregate function on the same column you are primarily grouping by would be useless, since the final result will return one row for every distinct value of the amount column. I'm not sure what the purpose of this query is, but if you are expecting to get one record back for each unique department with totals and average amounts for that department I think you would want to group by deptName and take amount out of the select list and the group by. ~Brad - Original Message - From: "BobSharp" > >SELECT a.Amount AS aAmount, >d.DeptName AS dName, >AVG(a.Amount) AS AverageAward, >SUM(a.Amount) AS DeptTotal > FROM incentiveawards a > INNER JOIN employeedirectory e ON (e.ID = a.RecipientIDfk) > INNER JOIN departments d ON (d.DepartmentID = > e.DepartmentIDfk) > GROUP BY a.Amount > HAVING SUM(a.Amount) > 5000 AND AVG(a.Amount) > 3000 > ORDER BY d.DeptName DESC; > ~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/message.cfm/messageid:320905 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.4

You do not need the evaluate functions, I would do something like: Variables["product_price_#c#"] = getProduct["product_price_#c#"][1]; The one being the placement in the query, I am just assuming it will return only one row and always one row and that is all you care to reference. If you are going to use cfscript, you don't have a way to do a list loop as you would in cfloop; i is a numeric in your code, not the list item. So, you need listGetAt() to get the list item at i. mxAjax / CFAjax docs and other useful articles: http://www.bifrost.com.au/blog/ 2009/3/25 Mike Little : > > hey guys, > > doing some very wrong here... > > for (i=1; i LTE listLen(currencies); i=i+1) { > product_price_"#i#" = evaluate('getProduct.product_price_' & i); > product_price_sale_"#i#" = evaluate('getProduct.product_price_sale_' & i); > } > > basically i want to assign a database field to the following vars... > > product_price_eur > product_price_sale_eur > product_price_usd > product_price_sale_usd > > my list.. > > currencies = "eur, usd" > > any help would be appreciated. > > mike > > ~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/message.cfm/messageid:320893 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4

That is, if you put the URL for that in your browser, do you get the file or do you get a 404? My guess is the latter, and you need to ensure that /CFIDE is properly mapped. CF Flash Form issue
I place a very simple flash form on my page When I run the page the page is blank and there is a javascript error in the lower left of the browser that says Object expected. This is a 1 page website and there is no included pages or admin.cfm. By viewing the source I see it includes a js file cfformhistory in the cfide folder in the webroot. This file is accessable by IIS and everything seems fine. This works on my laptop with developer edition. RE: Help requested - Syntax for GROUP BY with HAVING ...
Try putting a.Amount in your group by clause. Everything in your select list should be in the group by OR should have an aggregate function applied to it. Also, I noticed you are referencing an alias "AverageAward" in your order by. Do this: SELECT d.DeptName AS dName, AVG(a.Amount) AS AverageAward, SUM(a.Amount) AS DeptTotal You can't select individual amounts if you're performing aggregates on that same column. Also, your SUM(a.Amount) > 5000 belongs probably needs to go in the HAVING clause. ~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/message.cfm/messageid:320877 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4

Re: Page Split in Coldfusion
There are several ways to split a page into 3 sections, but it would help to have a few more details on what you're attempting to achieve, (since I'm not familiar with how ASP.NET does SPLIT). The simplest (server-side) splitting is just a case of putting code in different files and then using cfinclude to combine them. If you're looking at client-side stuff, you could have a look at cflayout/cfdiv/etc to see if this is what you want. Another non-cfspecific option is jQuery which has .load() and .loadJSON() functions for either loading complete pages or simply the results of a cffunction with access="remote" remoteformat="json" attributes used. I suspect one of those is what you're asking, but if not then you'll need to provide more details. ~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/message.cfm/messageid:320868 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4

When I do this on the command-line on the server, it appears to work very quickly, but the end file still doesn't get called by flowplayer. (I get a 200, file not found). William, Be sure to check your web server. It needs to be allowed to serve FLV files. I had this issue in IIS and just had to add the appropriate MIME type. I was hoping that someone out there has some knowledge of this and can help me. I am building a video upload process that translates video into Flash. I am using a simple form to upload the video. I am using FFmpeg (cfexecute) to translate the video to flash. The video file then exists, but I am unable to play it in flowplayer, or any other flv player that I have downloaded and installed. In my research, I found that FFMpeg used to have a problem where it would not add metatags to the file, and could cause a problem that way, so I installed flvtool2. I now run the flvtool2 on the file after I am done with ffmpeg conversion. When I do this on the command-line on the server, it appears to work very quickly, but the end file still doesn't get called by flowplayer. (I get a 200, file not found). When I do this programmatically through cfexecute, the process times out. (my current timeout is set to 30 minutes). Anyone have any ideas of how I might fix this? Re: Create a thumbnail image from .flv video file once uploaded
If you have access to cfexecute on your server you can grab one of the ffmpeg Binaries (or build it yourself) and use it that way. You could alternately see if there is a java port or wrapper and use it using cfobject or createobject. A quick google search turned up this: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rlz=1B3GGGL_enUS209US209&q=ffmpeg+java+&btnG=Search http://fobs.sourceforge.net/features.html http://www.walking-productions.com/slop/000609.html HTH, G! Not with ColdFusion, but you can use ffmpeg. Railo might also do it as it uses ffmpeg. SCOM Management Packs for ColdFusion
We're in the process of implementing Systems Center Operations Manager, and wondering if anyone knows of (or has created) a management pack for SCOM which will monitor services on ColdFusion servers?? We can easily install Service packs to monitor IIS, but obviously there are other dependencies. httponly
We are failing our security scan because of unsecured cookies. We already use jsessionID. setClientCookies = false So we are going to implement the solution of setting the cookies via CFHEADER where we can set httponly in all cases, and secure if the request is over SSL. That is all fine and dandy, except that the very first request for a session ignores the CFHEADER; the jsessionid cookie is not secure and not httponly until the second request, when this is corrected - so there is still a window for the exploit. Have other folks found this? My solution is to have a cflocation in onSessionStart to create an artificial second request server side, however it seems rather clunky.
