Re: blocking site downloaders
Session variables are always stored in the server's memory. J2EE session cookies simply expire in the client when the browser is closed, rather than only at the time set on the session timeout. Bots will often ignore either style of session, as they often don't keep track of cookies. mxAjax / CFAjax docs and other useful articles: http://www.bifrost.com.au/blog/ 2009/10/16 Azadi Saryev : > > 2) >> However, this may not work as the offending behavior is probably > generated by a bot or desktop app that doesn't store session variables. > if you use j2ee sessions then session vars are in-memory only and are > stored in server's memory, not on client;s computer... ~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want? CF9 on Win 7 installation issues
I've got a fresh install of Windows 7 (64 bit) and am trying to install CF9 (64 bit). I get the following error in the browser when trying to do the initial setup after it installs: HTTP Error 404.3 - Not FoundThe page you are requesting cannot be served because of the extension configuration. If the page is a script, add a handler. If the file should be downloaded, add a MIME map. I remember seeing a similar error way back when installing CF8 on Vista 64, but can't remember what the fix was and also can't figure out why this issue wouldn't have been resolved by now. I turned off UAC, uninstalled IIS and CF9 and reinstalled, to no avail. What do I need to do to resolve this issue? Thanks Pete ~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
