Re: other companies and developers to watch out for

2011-02-02 Thread Alex Puritche

Hello,

Bull_hit. I have been working with Adam (Colony One) for more than 5
years. He is tough on negotiations, but once agreement is in place and
as long as one follows his part of the agreement, Adam will follow his
part.

I don't know anything about other guys you list here, as I didn't work
with them, but I suspect that (as in Adam's case) God made them to
crucify you.

 I really like 2 things about this post...

 1) ColdFusion MX 7+ Umm... 7 plus what? Is there a ColdFusion 8 out there
 that I'm not aware of?

 2) If you use tables to design websites, you need not apply. I seriously
 wonder why some recruiters are against tables. They work. Hell, they have
 it on their homepage themselves. :)

 Even if I were qualified for the position I wouldn't waste my time with a
 company with such a snobby, patronizing, better than everyone else
 attitude. And with all the skills and experience you're demanding, you're
 probably not paying even close to what the job is worth, companies like you
 never do.

Accessible Computing, Inc., a leader in web accessibility and usability, is
seeking a ColdFusion developer for part time telecommuting work. We are
looking to form a long-term relationship with the right candidate.

The ideal candidate is an experienced ColdFusion developer who can
 hand-code
XHTML and CSS without using a WYSIWYG editor. (If you use tables to design
websites, you need not apply.)

Requirements:
* ColdFusion MX 7+
* Model Glue
* Reactor
* ColdSpring
* Object-Oriented Development
* MySQL or SQL Server 2000 / 2005
* XHTML
* CSS
* JavaScript
* Accessibility
* WCAG - (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)
* Section 508 Standards
* Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
* Ability to Work Unsupervised from Your Home Office (100% Telecommute)

Nice-To-Haves:
* XML
* XSL
* Subversion
* Trac

Compensation:
* Depending on Experience

Miscellaneous:
* Portfolio of Relevant Work Required
* References Required
* No Sponsors
* No Agencies

If interested, please submit a cover letter, resume, portfolio and
compensation requirements to jobs [at] accessiblecomputing.com.

NOTE: If you do not meet ALL of the above requirements, please do not
respond to this job posting. (Seriously, don't waste our time!)

Thanks!

PHP vs. Cold Fusion

I'll highly appreciate if somebody can send me URL of the page where I

P.S. I'm a bit abashed because of my English. I'm sorry. English isn't

Strange CFLOCATION behavior

2001-02-05 Thread Alex Puritche

cf-talk,

Can somebody explain strange behavior of the cflocation tag?
I have two cfml's files.
In the
#1. cflocation placed on the top of the page into the cfif;
#2. cflocation placed at the bottom of second page and loads
automatically "next" action page.
Web site is based on the set of frames.
My question is:
WHY in #1 "next" page loads in the "top" window
BUT in #2 "next" page loads in the "current" frame?

In fact, all works fine (as I planed) but I can figure out WHY it
works this way. Here is delicate aroma of mysticism. :-/

P.S. I'm so sorry for my English!
 I'll greatly appreciate any help!
 Also I can post examples of the code if it'll be helpful.

Robert,
I understand that I can set a flag. But my question was - how I
can search a flag in the ocean of flags?

Re[4]: Once again about Sessions

2000-07-26 Thread Alex Puritche

Robert,
Where I need to set this flag?(in which scope)
As I understand I need to go it this way.
User logged in.
I install session variable session.my_web_site_user which
contain user_unique_ID.
Than second user try to log in.
I check his Login/Password.
Then I check his user_unique_ID through array of
session.my_web_site_user variables for coincidence.
If coincidence found I ask user to contact support if not I
log him in the system.

In fact Stephen's database idea will make this job, but it
isn't suitable for me, course I need to add a query in each
page but it isn't acceptably.
:(

Robert You don't have to search it, in thier record there is a column called
Robert loggedin (whatever) if it is set to 1 they are logged on, if it is set up to
Robert 0 they aren't logged in. So when they log in, you prob check the password,
Robert well at the same time check to see if the flag is set to 1 or 0, if it's 1
Robert they can't log on, if it's set to 0 they can log on then you update thier
Robert record to change the 0 to 1. Now thier record says 1 anyone else that logs
Robert on can't becuase of the flag. You do have to make a logout section so the
Robert record can be changed so they can log in at a future time.
