http://www.fckeditor.net/roadmap some things already in the pipeline.
CF8's integration of the editor is somewhat minimal as the core FCK code
is really simple to embed on a page without the use of a CF tag, as are many
of the alternative editors.
Considering how I can't keep pace with FCK releases these days.. I hadn't
finished testing 2.5b before 2.5 and then 2.6b were released, I think
anything you can feed back through Adobe, or more appropriately straight
through the FCK communitity will be addressed, if indedd they aren't
already.
Dare I also say it's a no-brainer to create your own YUI editor tag, this is
CF after all.

Here I have three problems with FckEditor in the context of CF8.
a) Reliability problem
For instance, cross browser problem, it disables FF2's built-in spell
checker (are you nuts?). For another instance, for a same app, sometimes
the FckEditor loads while other time not.
Possible culprit (zillions of features and their support files simply
increases the probability of something may not work or the like...
b) Loading speed is LESS than desirable
(one would hope that when a Basic version is selected CF won't load the
default zillions of files... for FckEditor)
c) Configuration problem
With cf's {toobar} attribute for using FckEditor one can switch to use a
Basic, lean version, however, the content of the Basic version is not
complied, wtf?
From what I read, for instance, the following thread, I'm not the only one
who, a paying customer, is unhappy with the lousy integration, Adobe,
please put some resource into it... or seek YUI editor or some other good
editor, thanks.

FCKeditor spell checker
Hi Folks Has anybody found an easy route to spell checking on FCKE without an extra client install? Do I head-down the SpellChecker road? I'm on a Win32 server and I don't think this is well supported in ASpell. Does anybody have this working satisfactorily? Any other suggestions? Would a JS spell checker maybe be better? IIS6 configuration
How do we go about configuring IIS6 from CF these days. I only found a tag for 4/5. So it looks like juggling and hacking about in the VB scripts, or maybe it's better to learn the API. ? Never touched Fusebox yet but I believe the idea is to use variables appended to the URL like so: mypage.cfm/var_name1,value/var_name2,value/var_name3,value Then strip these variables from the server variable SCRIPT_NAME and plug then into your fusebox. Search engines and stats packages like Webtrends are happy to index these URLs, allegedly. Nested Recursive Custom Tags AttributeCollection Nightmare
I have a tag which is going to call itself many times over. I want to be able to create a structure, call the custom tag and be left with a modified structure at the end of it. cfset myStructure = StructNew() cfmodule template="acustomtag.cfm" AttributeCollection="#menuStructure#" In the module "acustomtag.cfm": Update the stucture with new values and under certain conditions: cfmodule template="acustomtag.cfm" AttributeCollection="#menuStructure#" This will creat a many-tiered hierachy of nests of the same tag. Upon return to the calling script I should have the modified structure "myStructure". I have read the manual and it left my brain tangled. the loop to ignore that field:

If you need output in a particular order you could start juggling string
variables. Or set a count to do PROJECT_COMPONENTS once inside the loop,
then ignore it all other times.

I can't see why using CFINCLUDE should make any difference to its DL time.
CFINCLUDE merely includes code in a page, once this is rendered client-side,
the browser wouldn't "know" the difference between included code and any
other.

Do the PROJECT_COMPONENTS bit outside of the loop and put a condition in
the loop to ignore that field:

If you need output in a particular order you could start juggling string
variables. Or set a count to do PROJECT_COMPONENTS once inside the loop,
then ignore it all other times.

I am trying to loop through the formfields and send them to an email

Now what?
I have a conditional form post: cfif blah cfform cfelse cfform ... /cfif . . /cfform But ColdFusion gives a JIT error that there is an extraneous /cfform tag.
