Re: sorting zip codes - need to see in order of popularity

2002-01-24 Thread Chuck Rodgers

Hi Jim,

you can try

SELECT DISTINCT zipcode, count(zipcode) as zipnum
   FROMtblSurvey
   WHERE state = '#URL.state#'
   GROUP BY zipcode
   ORDER BY count(zipcode), zipcode

or

depending on your database

SELECT DISTINCT zipcode, count(zipcode) as zipnum
   FROMtblSurvey
   WHERE state = '#URL.state#'
   GROUP BY zipcode
   ORDER BY 2, zipcode

Re: Disconnecting Data Sources for Upload?

2001-12-10 Thread Chuck Rodgers

Hi,

You can break the "lock" by running a query on the datasource that causes
an error

select *
from x

(in this case x stands for a table that does not exist).

This should break the lock and allow the uploading of the db.

Re: Cold Fusion and Dynamic PDF Files

2001-10-25 Thread Chuck Rodgers

Hi,

I've used activepdf toolkit. If you can afford this it will make your life
much easier in dealing with pdfs.

You might want to take a look at Joe Celko's "SQL for Smarties"

Re: Somewhat OT: Data Conversion

2001-10-05 Thread Chuck Rodgers

Probably your best bet is to figure out how to export out of Data Ease into
a text file and then import that into Access.

RE: CFMAIL problems

2001-10-05 Thread Chuck Rodgers

When trying to send an email with an attachment I get

Unable to write mail message to disk.

After x number of emails are created. It can be as small as 50 or as high
as 190. Unfortunately my list has 800 in it.

I have checked for disk space, etc. and this is not the problem.

I did find that there was a patch to CFMAIL for this specific issue in
CF4.5.2. I am thinking that some of the CF5 builds don't have the latest
CFMAIL in it.

Thanks

Chuck

CFMAIL problems

2001-10-05 Thread Chuck Rodgers

Has anyone viewed the messages that CFMAIL creates in the spool folder? I
grabbed a few since I have been having problems getting mail created and
sent. I noticed that at the the top of the message is:

x-cf-version: 4.5.0

I am running CF5.0 and haven't had any other version on this machine. Some
of the problems I am experiencing were supposed to be fixed in a patch to
4.5.2. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks

CFMail problem

2001-10-02 Thread Chuck Rodgers

Hi,
Has anyone seen this in CF5? When using CFMail with a Word attachment to a
list of 800+ users it never makes it through the list. It may stop
creating emails at 50 or at 200 haven't figured out why. I have seen that
there was an error fixed in CF4.5 that was for this same thing. The error
I get is:
Unable to write mail message to disk.
Running CF5 Enterprise, Win NT 4.0 SP6a.
Can anyone shed any light.
Thanks
Chuck Rodgers

Hi,

I have used PowerMapper before, it creates thumbnails in a clickable map as
a site mapping tool.

There is a download eval and it costs $99.
