We are having some minor difficulties with Webtrends.

 1. The graphs that Webtrends makes are not readable. We change some
settings

others then our graphs look like s***.

 2. On General Stastic page there is a fieled with "Home Page Visits" os
something like that. And we have there NA. How come?

 3. Were can I get a great tutorial on Webtrends options and also on report

Hi!

We received (some time ago) a notice from Allaire, that they will host the
2nd Developer Conference in Washington D.C. This conference is great ( I
was at the 1st conference). But to my surprise the entrance fee is $899 (or
$799 if you register before July or something). THAT'S TOO EXPENSIVE if you
ask me!!! If you are from Europe, then you can't come, except if you have a
lot of money (entrace fee + plane tickets + hotel + spending money). Am I
missing something?

When you say "...installed Webtrends on our machine which is running CF
e-shop..." I hope this means you installed WebTrends on a workstation and
pull the log files down to the workstation to process. Otherwise whenever
WebTrends runs, it'll grab up a bunch of resources and slow your web
server
down. By putting WebTrends on a workstation somewhere and grabbing the
files (ex: FTP) automatically, you avoid this and can even publish the
reports back to a secure directory on the web server for review. I've
seen
far too many web servers suffer this fate.

Can you create a structure in a cfx?

I haven't seen a way to do it yet.

I guess I could return a query, but I'd prefer structures so I
  can nest them...

  Any ideas?

Um, nothing in the CFXAPI as I recall can do that.

If you're wanting to something you can cfloop through you CAN create
queries
with different names. For instance, with CFX_UserManager it's set up so
you
can tell the name of the query through the QUERY="?" parameter.

Ie, you call for a list of NT users with QUERY="Users". Then you can
cfloop
through the Users query and call for their localqroups putting them in
QUERY="Localgroups". And then do a nested cfloop through the Localgroups
query. (Printing out their usernames, then a list of the localgroups
they're
 apart of.)

I believe that's about it. The CFXAPI allows for only one query to be
returned per CFX call. Far as I know. So

I am writing a Custom Tag that needs to generate URLs that point
back to the page which called it. I am trying to use the cgi.scriptname,
but it does not work (its defined but blank).

 I was planning on doing:

 cfscript
 strHTML = "a href="""  caller.cgi.scriptname  "?action="  action
  ;
 /cfscript

any reason why that would not work? Why is cgi.scriptname blank?

I am not using sessions if that is any help.

I have found that the ASP community was nowhere near as helpful as the

on this list though - they seem more protective of their knowledge - it
took
me weeks to try to get someone to answer a simple questions about a year

It's pretty the same with other languages, like C++. In my opinion this list

Hy!

I know this is off topic, but I need some people who are familiar with ISAPI
programming. I'm looking for a function similar to CFHTTP tag, that will

4-

I believe (some) search engines balk at seeing the ? mark anywhere in the
URL. I think AltaVista may be one of those that rejects URL's with
dynamic parameters. You could try out your theory by trying to get
AltaVista to accept one of your URL's with a / appended.

This question pop's up from time to time. I have a new slant on it
 though
that I want to see if would work.

Suppose that I have a link that reads

 http://www.somedomain.com/somepage.cfm?something=somevaluesomething2=som
 eva
 lue2

Everything I have found in the Allaire forums says that I need to replace
the ? and the with / and then use a string replace method and etc. etc.

How about just throwing a / at the very end and then striping it off.
 Would
the search engine then not treat everything that is in-between the / and
 the
/ as a dir. instead of a page? The reason that I am asking is because on
two of my sites I kept noticing an error where people would add, or
 search
engines would add / at the end of the entire URL and it would throw an
error, so I started striping off that last trailing / and no I don't get
 any
more errors, but can we use this to our advantage and use it with search
 engines?

 Any ideas, pro's, con's?

I believe there is a timeout attribute CFHTTP timeout="number of

There are also several CFX_HTTP tags in allaire's tag gallery that claim
to
fix problems that the native CFHTTP call has.

as
well. I'd like to make the first contribution:

These are excellent places to start, and obviously, any wireless

I'm using the Phone.com developer's kit and SDK to test my stuff. How do I

Is
there a more generic SDK out there I can use?

May all be stupid questions, but thought I'd check...
