Space problem with cfpdf

2009-10-19 Thread Thorsteinn Jonsson

We are using cfpdf with action=processddx.
It is working fine.
But... at the same time it creates temporary files in:

C:\Documents and Settings\profile\Local Settings\Temp\ (this is on the dev
server)

On production they end up in C:\WINDOWS\Temp\

They look something like this: DESTINATIONFILE#.tmp (# being a number)

These files don't get deleted and I have not found a way to specify the temp
folder.
If I could specify the temp folder we could more easily have a script that
deletes the *.tmp files.

Anybody had this issue?
(the production server has space issues on the c: drive)

Re: Webservice hell

2006-10-11 Thread Thorsteinn Jonsson
Hey Tom,

What you discribe is happening to me.
Infact, the web service cfc returns a path that is not accessible though the
firewall ... and the reverse proxy on my production environment.

Do you know how to modify the aut generated WSDL?
Or is there a way to do modifications on the server in order to fix the
path?

Regards,

Steini

You can try to modify the WSDL auto generated code and use fileName.wsdlas

as far as path to data is concerned.

 Subject: Webservice hell

 Halloa

Right, I have got to the end of my teather and google hasnt helped.

I have a webservice, its a simple and happy webservice such as:

 cfcomponent output=false style=rpc
 cffunction name=sayHello access=remote output=false
 returntype=String
 cfreturn Howdy!/
 /cffunction
 /cfcomponent

I run it from my local machine, it is fine, says howdy. I run it in my
 local
network, its fine, it says howdy!

if I run it outside of my local network on another server, the howdy fails
to materialise. I have been running different tests and using
 www.soapui.com
I see that when I hit the server with a request for a greeting, I get a:

 HTTP/1.1 302 Moved Temporarily[\r][\n]

and after a few cookies are set I get:
 17:21:53 : DEBUG : Location:

 http://someserver:80/CFIDE/componentutils/cfcexplorer.cfc;jsessionid=ec309c5
 47f963d5306f7?method=getcfcinhtmlname=
 cms.components.ws.cmsbrowserpath=/cm
 s/components/ws/CMSBrowser.cfc[\r][\n]

Which is basically a redirect, err.. no thanks, I dont want to redirect to
the cfcexplorer, and of course the service fails.

Has anyone encountered this? I am sure its something to do with the
 firewall, but WHAT?

Have been packet sniffing all afternoon with no joy.

Obi-One, you are my only hope! (I mean.. cf-talk... you are my only hope)

2005-11-25 Thread Thorsteinn Jonsson
I have this problem too...
I have my eclipse package on an external disk. I'm using it at home and at
work.
At home I just cannot see snippets (most of the time) , while at work I have
no problem at all...

Any news on a solution?

Re: Resources for learning CFC's ?

2005-01-04 Thread Thorsteinn Jonsson
Please keep this conversation an the list... if you can... :-)

All these posts, recently about cfcs and OO have been very ... very
interesting... even this one with these various links.

I have this application that I want to modify... completely... so I
thought about going for cfcs...

So I started digging... and reading... stumbled on OO... (which I find
really cool)... but the closesed I've come to OO ... was Spectra...
:-| ... so I'm a little stuck at the moment...

So ... you (Sean) would suggest that I just go for normal cfcs...
for now and start learning more about OO, with Java besides?

Which Version do you have installed?

Normally this is done by opening Windows - Show View - Other...-
 CFML- File Explorer View

once open check out the little triangle to the right of the drop down

Do that or download this movie and check it out

Hmmm... I was affraid that it could be something like that...

By coincidence I'm in fusebox, so I'll try the attributes scope...
I hope it copies the form scope before it disapears...
