I am trying to load the CFMX 6 developer edition on Windows XP. I load it up but when I got to launcht he admin it fails with the following. HELP! Account Question
I am trying to change my email account on CF-talk. However when I do this it does not change the primary and just keeps adding the emails account to a list of the smae email account over and over again. i am now getting cf-talk mail to two differnt email addresses. OT- Escaping a single quote
I have a text field that contains that could pass single quote. Well it is bombing the insert logic into the database. This is in asp.net which I am new too though I primarily use CF exclusively. I have been looking around searching for this and I am not searching correctly cause I am not finding anything. OT-Unix grep
Okay kind of an odd thing here. I am trying to use grep to search through files for a string. I and hen just wnat the file name that there was a match for, then I am writing the reuslts to CF web page. test to Date conversions in ACCESS
In Access I have two tables one field is a varchar(text) the other is a date/time. I want to convert the text field value to date/time. What function do I use to convert this? Checkbox woes
I am have a bit of a time with this whole checkbox thing. The check boxes are for users to select an item if they want to include it in the search. They always return a 0 instead of a 1 if I have a box checked thus it is not being used by my query on the action page as a search criteria. Maybe I am tired but I need to get this done. Formatting output question
I have a message form where users submit a form via a textarea box. In this textarea box they may make a carriage return. When I output the message everything is on one line and the carriage returns are not there. I looked in the datbase and the lines are setup with carriage returns. Example a b c When I out put I get a b c How do I format this to keep the carriage returns? CFGRID issue
Some times on a page that I use CGGRID the grid box cuts off the last column. If I refresh the page it is fine. This happen intermitently. Any ideas? There is anoying for my users. Java Certificate expiration

SQL question for SQL Gurus
I have two tables I have to join. Table1 contains tasks, Table2 is a group table that
contains tasks that are grouped from the Table1. Table one as a field called group_id
which houses the coresponding Task_id from Table2 as the foreign key. Table1 tasks
contain all the accounting information. When you call Table2 to get the data for the
group you mathmatically sum up the amounts fields. I also need to get a count of the
total of groups not the total of the tasks within the group.
Problem: I get the sql to return correctly except my count is based on the total
number of tasks. So if I had 3 groups of 5 tasks each I want to return count of 3,
instead I get of 15.
Included is my SQL:

Checkbox problems, need help
I have a form where a user can select which types of tasks can be viewed. These tasks
are all check boxes. When I click on the check box and submit to the processing page
the value zero appears for all checkboxes regardless if they are checked or not. I
have tried a few things and have not pinned it down yet. Included is a portion of the

Troubles Connecting to SQL Server.
I have a machine that I was running CF5 on. I removed CF5, rebooted, then installed CMFX. CFMX HELP NEEDED IMMEDIATELY
I just installed CFMX on our production server. Got everything going and can bring up the adminstrator on the server's browser with no issues. But when I attempted to start the CF Administrator from a browser not on the server I get the following error: You have attempted to dereference a scalar variable of type class java.lang.String as a structure with members. I think it may be a permissions issue on the server when outside browser connect. Any ideas or thoughts?? All help is appreciated in advance. Eric ... CFTREE Help Needed.
I have never used CFTREE before an have an opportunity to use it now. I played around a little bit with it to get an idea of how it works. Now I want to populate my tree dynamically. SITUATION - I have a table in which a sales hierarchy is stored.
