I have no idea, sorry, I guess the default. if your host is cf6/7 then it should be utf-8 but that depends on if someone changed the server encoding. could be the reverse case, latin-1 or whatever encoding coming in via your url utf-8 on the cf page. try adding cfprocessingDirective pageEncoding=iso-8859-1 to the top of that snippet. if that doesn't fix it, then it might be whatever encoding. i guess then try windows-1252 codepage. ~| Create robust enterprise, web RIAs.
