what SMTP server are you using ?
try using something else as a test, such as your gmail account.
If this refuses the invalid emails then this will prooce whether it is your
mail server or not.

actually not getting that behavior either.  I sent an email to "adsf" (no 
domain no at sign) and it still passed thru spool

that's what i figured...but which ones in cfide are these "checks" settings?  i 
don't see any that describe a recipient email address validation.

CF9 Undelivr not working as expected

We upgraded to CF9 on the production server and the spooler isn't working like 
before.   

Expected behavior is .cfmail file is created in Spool/ folder, then if rejected 
by SMTP, moved to Undelivr folder.  

Current behavior.  .cfmail created in Spool/,   never appears in Undelivr/I 
sent a email to invalid domain and instead of Undelivr, it "sends"then a 
couple minutes later, i get a undeliverable email message from MAILER-DAEMON 
saying:

Generating server: bigfish.com

#< #5.4.4 smtp; 554 5.4.4 SMTPSEND.DNS.NonExistentDomain; nonexistent domain> 
#SMTP#

what's going on?
