Yes. It's essentially 6.1 + bug fixes + newly added features so the
core engine should be even more stable than 6.1. macromedia.com is
running on 7.

Things that bit us:
- we had a few tags inside tags (illegal in CF5,
allowed in 6.1, illegal again in 7)
- we were faking some multi-part emails (sending HTML + text) and 7
makes you do it properly using the tags that were
introduced way back in 6.1
- a web service issue caused by some new mappings in the wsdd config
file (we just commented them out)

I think that was it. The first two were "our fault" for doing naughty
code tricks. The third one was only a issue because we have such a
complex configuration (mixing CF and Java and Flex and cross-calling
web services between them) so it probably won't affect other CFers.

Remember that CFMX7 is built on CFMX6.1 + Updater 1 + other stuff

It's as stable if not more so than CFMX6.1

2005-02-10 Thread Adkins, Randy
I know quite a few people using CFMX 7 in their production environments.

Any comments on migrating from CFMX 61 to CFMX 70, issues beyond what's
listed in cfmx7_migrating.pdf?

Would you consider the 70 release stable enough for production use? Any
noticeable change in performance?

Thanks,

Dave Merrill
