CFOpenChat 0.97b Released
A lot of progress has been made in the last week with regards to the reliability of CFOpenChat. It handles temporary connection failures much better now, and will hopefully no longer just randomly decide to boot everyone out of the chat room at will. CFOpenChat is a coldfusion powered chat room application built using Rob Gonda's ajaxCFC. It supports MSSQL and MySQL, and could easily be adapted for other database as well. I suppose I should mention that I *ALSO* released 0.98b today, a few minutes ago. :) Nothing like having two releases in one day. Well, 0.98b combined two ajax calls into one. So rather than making 2 distinct calls every X seconds, it makes 1 call every X seconds, returning the same amount of data, with less request overhead. If you downloaded this in the last hour (9:35pm EST to 10:40pm EST).. Do me a favor and comment out the cfmail line in ajax.cfc ...
