Nope. I mean that you choose the right tool for the job. Jeffry Houser said it best when he stated "Each one has it's strengths and weaknesses". You need to evaluate your project, define the requirements and choose the best tool for producing a solid solution, on time and within budget. Rey... Re: Coldfusion vs. Jsp
err.. I think he meant neither one is better. Each one has it's strengths and weaknesses. You should pick the one that is weak where don't need functionality, and strong where you do. More often, however, you pick the one someone (probably in management) paid for. RE: Coldfusion vs. Jsp
Sun "branded" Java Server Pages. The technical and business merits of each platform are completely dependent upon your environment and what you want to accomplish. A "which is better" question is best answered by knowing what you want to accomplish and producing a cost benefit analysis, whether simple or elaborate, of those products or technologies which have been identified as being capable of producing the desired goal. This is a gross over-simplification but, the point is, there is no way for the users of this list to accurately answer a question of, "which is best". It's not that I don't want to help, it's just a scenario I've seen too many times in too many newsgroups.
