Does this have any impact on CF in general? No. CF does not rely on client-side Java for commonly-used functionality. If you use the CF Administrator's filesystem browser, that requires client-side Java. For example, to select an Access database file when configuring a datasource. There are some CFFORM tags that used Java in earlier versions of CF, but it's unlikely you're using those in your applications.
