Re: OT: Anyone know about firewall software?
Sorry, any platform or even seperate hardware is fine. I'm trying to find as many solutions, then I'll narrow it down. See, we have about 30 IP addresses available to us, but we don't want to limit all internet traffic to only one IP. So far all of the firewalls I can find share the internet connection from one IP. We want to use all available. Thanks in advance. Richard Ramos Tech. RE: OT: Anyone know about firewall software?
What are you trying to do? There are some things that can be handled by a router vs. a firewall. What you want to do is definitely doable but, may not be the easiest or best solution. RE: OT: Anyone know about firewall software?
Sounds like you need a firewall/router. Linux with ipchains can do this quite well. There are also plenty of standalone products that can do it. Michael J.
