RE: [OT] Buying certificates
Another place I've had really good luck with is www.thawte.com Fast response for new certs and renewals and they only cost $125. > -Original Message- > From: calvis [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Thursday, March 30, 2000 5:12 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: [OT] Buying certificates > > > What is the URL to pick up those cheap certificates? > > Media3? Re: [OT] Buying certificates
http://www.equifax.com I have been fairly satisfied with Media3 so far. A bit slow at times, but not too bad. Better than my former ISP, Minerva.net Would you care to expand on your opinions? Off-line if you prefer. Thanks, Beau calvis wrote: > > What is the URL to pick up those cheap certificates? > > Media3? RE: [OT] Buying certificates
What is the URL to pick up those cheap certificates? Media3? Hope you have better luck than what I had from them. You can move your verisign certificate to another server without any problems. However, you need the right files or assistance from your former ISP to do so. Re: [OT] Buying certificates
I buy from Thawte. Why? Verisign irritated the @#!&* out of me. I found them arrogant, unresponsive, and overpriced. Seems only fitting that they acquired Network Solutions. Unfortunately, Verisign also acquired Thawte. I wrote a letter to Thawte explaining my fears about their quality going down if they were acquired by Verisign, and I got a very well thought out response from Thawte's CEO less than a day later. Very professional and considerate company in my opinion. The only issues I might see with Thawte are the fact they have less brand recognition in the US (although they are very big abroad), they are based in South Africa (they have a US office) and they like conducting support via web-based IRC. I found there support to be quite good, and their prices are 1/3 of Verisign. Good enough reasons for me.
