Can anyone else running 1.4.1 confirm (or deny) this dateFormat problem? Can anyone who *is* seeing the bug please post their JRE version? We'll get this nailed down! I can confirm that Rob is definitely experiencing this error - having tried his link - but I am at a loss to explain why. The code works fine on every system I've tested here (all without the Updater, admittedly) and other people are reporting it works fine on systems *with* the Updater. Weird. Another thought: are you using anything other than the default locale? "I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone. Believe it or not, the format doesn't work on my local box either.
