works fine on my development server...

I've also tried,

the /datanet2/ is an alias mapped in cfadmin, but it doesn't work on the
clients serveralthough the settings seem to be the same on both...i've
also moved the display page into the root to test it, yet it still doesn't
seem to work. Anything I should check again? Advice, as always, is
gratefully received.

You may need to map the folder in the CFadmin, and in the web server software.

Are you getting a CF Error?

RE: CFINCLUDE problems

The answer is in that message; it thinks you're referencing and absolute
path.

Use the relative path syntax if you don't want to create a mapping.

Can you not include files in the following manner? Notes: CF Server has the
mapping, so does IIS, and if you view the page I'm trying to include

I am attempting to do this:

Note: If you wish to use an absolute template path (e.g.

Using relative paths (e.g. TEMPLATE="index.cfm" or TEMPLATE="../index.cfm")

recommended that you use relative paths with CFINCLUDE whenever possible.

I don't think this is the reason. Our entire site is based on a index.cfm
page that contains only the artwork for the site. It 's an
index_content.cfm page which does whatever the page is supposed to do,
including queries of various complication. All of them work. Or, if they
don't work the fact that they are included is not the cause.

RE: CFINCLUDE problems

2000-09-28 Thread Larry Juncker

That program of Able Commerce is a little flaky, I can't hardly wait for the
new one. I have found with Able Commerce builder that sometimes you have to
(for some reason) add an acb virtual folder under the website to make
certain includes work. I have not been able to figure out why, but it has
seemed to help me with several of my ACB sites. I hope this might help you,
if you haven't tried it yet.

I currently am running two installs of acb 2.91 and just got rid of two
installs of 2.6. Can't wait for the new one. It should be super.

RE: CFINCLUDE problems

2000-10-19 Thread Aaron Johnson

The actual file you include can contain queries & anything else...

However you can't send attributes to a cfinclude file. This is WRONG:

However, you don't need to send id to your included file. The file you
include has access to any variables you set... so instead of doing the
above.. you can simply do this:

The cfinclude'd file will have access to those variables.

What are you saying?
INCLUDED files can contain Queries, or any other CFML or HTML.

RE: CFINCLUDE problems

2000-10-19 Thread Warrick, Mark

I'm not sure what this other guy was talking about, but I use included files all the
time in the Fusebox style of programming. All the templates run just fine no matter
what is in them.

RE: CFINCLUDE problems

2000-10-19 Thread Jann VanOver

What Homer Simpson (? aka HTH) wrote was NOT that you couldn't create or
reference QUERIES (ala CFQUERY) in a CFINCLUDE but that you couldn't pass
parameters on the QUERY STRING (the stuff after a ? in the URL) with
CFLOCATION.

We can all agree on this, right?

The original code that Gina showed us had:

Which doesn't work because the page is not processed but the web server like
she expected it to be.

RE: CFINCLUDE problems

Oops -- of course I meant CFINCLUDE, not CFLOCATION in that first paragraph.
