RE: Real-life Flash remoting examples?
Michael, The Pet Marekt Blue Print is a great example of a nice remoting application. Further you can download it to your laptop (if you have one) and give a *live* demo. In addition there is a very good marketing presentation by Al Ramadan that may give you some ideas for your own presentation: http://www.macromedia.com/resources/business/rich_internet_apps/overview / Finally you might also check out a page on the Macromedia site called "Customer Successes" with Flash Remoting: http://dynamic.macromedia.com/bin/MM/showcase/scripts/showcase_cs_listin g_by_query.jsp?product=Flash%20Remoting // Jaye Morris | Multimedia Applications Developer // [EMAIL PROTECTED] | www.navtrak.net // [EMAIL PROTECTED] | www.jayezero.com + Navtrak, Inc. | StreetSuite | New Rules For The Road + -Original Message- From: Mike Kear [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, August 19, 2003 5:29 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: Real-life Flash remoting examples? I'm preparing a proposal for an entertainment industry site, and the client is excited about flash. Can anyone point me towards some real-life examples of flash remoting in action? I tried to explain how it benefits a site and I think all I did was confuse rather than excite. The Pollster application from DRK 4 uses Flash Remoting. Michael, Here's an example of an Intranet product - new item introduction for a manufacturing company. It's mostly boring numbers and such - no animation. but it uses Flash remoting to the hilt. Note: The print interface won't work because you would have to login - and I didn't have time to bypass security on it for the test page. http://dev.mxconsulting.com/sergv2/npTest.cfm?action=view&np_id=36 -Mark -Original Message- From: Dan Phillips (CFXHosting.com) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, August 19, 2003 4:48 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: RE: Real-life Flash remoting examples? Chris, This is outstanding work. I really like it. You have really expanded Flash to it's current limit - at least in regard to remoting. -Mark -Original Message- From: Chris Kief [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, August 19, 2003 4:53 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: RE: Real-life Flash remoting examples?
