RE: SQL 2000 Enterprise Manager WAS: web hosting, sql 2000

2004-03-17 Thread cfhelp
It comes with SQL server Desktop addition and SQL Server Client tools on the
SQL Server Install Disk. I don't know about it being free. And either way
you still need a CAL to access the server.

I've looked on the MS site and can't find it as a download. It looks as if
it is part of the SQL Server Package and is unavailable separately.

mayo: you can totally get enterprise manager for free. Its included even
with the free versions of SQL. I think I got my first copy out of the back
of an SQL book that came with a CD.

Gil, it is freely downloadable.Check out this FAQ on our website:
http://www.circa3k.com/FAQAnswer.cfm?ID=89It briefly describes the SQL
2000 Client Tools, and provides a link to the download.

Enjoy!

It's a heck of a download. You should be able to order the Evaluation
version on CD directly from Microsoft.

http://www.microsoft.com/sql/howtobuy/default.asp

Click on the Evaluation Edition at the top right of this page. Then click
on Order the SQL Server Evaluation Kit link (US$7.95 - bargain!)
