RE: Spaces in cfexecute on Windows machine
Thanks for the help. The escaped double-quotes did the trick. RE: Spaces in cfexecute on Windows machine
Perhaps you need to go to a DOS prompt (yes, old skool), and do a: Dir /x which shows you the 8.3 format directory names? (should only apply to old OS or old FAT formatting, etc., though) -Original Message- From: Adrian Showater [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, November 07, 2005 15:39 To: CF-Talk Subject: Spaces in cfexecute on Windows machine I am having a problem using cfexecute on a windows. machine. RE: Spaces in cfexecute on Windows machine
Hey Adrian, Someone else may have a better approach, but this should work too. Open a command prompt, navigate to the folder in question, and do 'dir /x'. This will output the 8-dot-3 name in the 5th column, and the long name in the 6th column. For example, Program Files is USUALLY PROGRA~1, so your new path would be: C:\PROGRA~1\directory\file.ext Hope this helps.
