It's worth mentioning that there are many command-line zip utilities that are out there and you can call them with a cfexecute. Ah yes! Thanks for jarring my memory. Now I remember I had used two cflib.org functions: zipFileNew() by Nathan Dintenfass and unzipFile() Samuel Neff both of which greatly simplify the calls to java.util.zip libraries and work in ColdFusion MX and up.
