Craig: I believe the developer version will allow connections from the local box and one additional IP. Not sure how you are connected to the server, but are you able to open a browser on it? If so, you should be able to get into the cfadmin from there without worrying about the IP restrictions. If not, try clearing the IP listed in /opt/coldfusionmx/lib/license.properties (or wherever your license key is held on the shared server, if you have access to it!) and restarting.
