Re: file extensions and IIS

2003-03-25 Thread Austin Govella
I am trying to process .htm extensions as cold fusion pages (In CFMX).

I have added the mapping in IIS and modified the web.xml file but I get
 the following error

 / by zero

Paul:

I'm trying to do the same thing, but I get a different error:
The document contains no data.

Where did you read about editing the web.xml file? I hadn't seen that
anywhere.

Thanks,

RE: file extensions and IIS

2003-03-25 Thread Tony Weeg
Open the C:\CFusionMX\wwwroot\WEB-INF\web.xml . You can modify the
extension mappings by adding these lines:

servlet-mapping
servlet-nameCfmServlet/servlet-name
url-pattern*.html/url-pattern
/servlet-mapping

and then of course, add the mappings to iis, like you used to with cf5

RE: File extensions

2002-10-22 Thread Matthew Walker
Some extensions are more than 3 character e.g. .html so I'd suggest
listLast(GetFileFromPath(Key), .)
That wouldn't work for blank extensions e.g. .[nothing] but that may not
matter.

I'm just doing some string manipulation to get the file
 extension for search
engine results. Is string manipulation the best way or is
 there another way
in CF I can extract that.

 Here's what I'm currently doing...

 CFIF RTrim(Right(GetFileFromPath(Key), 3)) IS txt

I had thought of MIME type but as the results are coming from
 Verity I can
only get that if I modify the style.sfl file and as we are on a hosted
 server that's a problem.

 TIA!

This is left over from the ancient past, when what we know and love as CFML
was called DBML, in CF 1.0-1.5. Thus .dbm extensions, as well as DBQUERY,
DBIF, DBOUTPUT, etc, which may or may not work in more modern versions
of CF, but were the core of the good old days.

RE: file extensions

2000-11-18 Thread Adrian Cesana

They seem to work but a few quirks , I also copied CFML.EXE to DBML.EXE so I
didnt have to change any code long ago when converting to 2.0. I still have
a couple of templates laying around that function this way, although they
are not accessible by the outside world anymore

Feeling older now.

RE: file extensions

2000-11-17 Thread Christopher Olive, CIO

i think i remember reading somewhere that .dbm was a legacy naming
convention from CF1.5. you could probably use it, but why?

actually, you can have (almost) any file convention for CF. just map its
extension to the CFML module in your ISAPI mappings (in IIS, at least)
