RE: how do I show a range of numbers?
Only if you are testing to see if the variable is equal to -8. In other words no, 1-9 would be evaluated by CF. By the way, you don't need # signs around your variables in the cfif statement you provided. ~Simon Simon Horwith Allaire Certified ColdFusion Instructor Certified ColdFusion Developer Fig Leaf Software 1400 16th St NW, # 220 Washington DC 20036 202.797.6570 (direct line) www.figleaf.com -Original Message- From: S R [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, December 28, 2000 4:02 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: how do I show a range of numbers? RE: how do I show a range of numbers?
That statement would qualify as true for nearly any number, from 1-1,000,000 or from 9 to negative1,000,000 :) Testing for a pretty big number range :) Jeremy Allen elliptIQ Inc. -Original Message- From: Brandon Behrens [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, December 28, 2000 4:04 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: RE: how do I show a range of numbers? For example I have a CFIF statement that looks like this: CFIF #VARIABLE# IS 1 OR #VARIABLE# IS 2 OR #VARIABLE# IS 3 ETC... could I do something like: CFIF #VARIABLE# IS 1-9 No. But you could do this: cfif ListFind("1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9",VariableName) found it! /cfif (ps. You don't need those hash marks in your cfif statements) Ron Allen Hornbaker President/CTO Humankind Systems, Inc. http://humankindsystems.com ~ Paid Sponsorship ~ Get Your Own Dedicated Win2K Server!
