It is usually good advice to not reinvent the wheel, but there is a place for new projects. Sometimes you want to roll your own ticket system and I have done that for a variety of reasons such as flexibility or integrating with a code base. You will be hard pushed to find anything written in cf, all these days, all the half decent apps were abandoned years ago and no longer supported our the site is long dead. Jira is a very big and full featured Enterprise ticketing system, I am sure it is $10 and not $20 for 10 users and was introduced a few years ago to help get smaller teams get into Jira and other products. The whole $10 goes directly to a charity, don't recall it off the top of my head, so Atlassian doesn't even make money of these community versions. If you feel inclined you're more than welcome to try and reinvent the wheel and try your hand at your own version. People should realise that CF is good for what it does and it's a shame tools like this don't exist, but not everything needs to be written in CF, especially when there are already good tools out there that do a far better job than you can ever try to compete with. I did it once a while back using session variables to set the location I wanted at any given time. I wasn't thrilled with the solution, but it worked. You might find it helpful to just dump the Server scope to see them all. Ok, great, the server version is up to date.I assume that means that this is 6.1: 6,1,0,63958 cfoutput #Server.ColdFusion.ProductName# #Server.ColdFusion.ProductVersion# #Server.Coldfusion.ProductLevel# /cfoutput These probably have to do with the version of Java you're using to run CF. If you haven't upgraded to CFMX 6.1, you might consider upgrading your JVM to a newer version to address these errors.
