RE: File ftp from cfserver to a data server
Well if someone really is running CF in such an unsecure configuration, perhaps this is a good time to change. We all know that running CF as system on windows is equivalent to running it as root on linux (as system really is root, unlike the administrator accounts that we get). Re: File ftp from cfserver to a data server
Well, in one case we have, the SQL server only allows FTP calls initiatated from itself - so we use a custom DLL so we can use SQL to trigger FTP... RE: File ftp from cfserver to a data server
It is unlikley that coldfusion is setup to allow UNC path access to other servers as this is not how CF installed by default. And seeing as the guy did specically say he needed to FTP the file, one would presume that FTP is therefore installed on the destination server already otherwis ehe would have simply asked for the best way to get the file to the server. -Original Message- From: Casey Dougall [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 09 July 2006 12:55 To: CF-Talk Subject: Re: File ftp from cfserver to a data server Why would you run/instal FTP on a SQLserver? Re: File ftp from cfserver to a data server
Or, if the server is remote, use cfftp - or even trigger it via SQL using a custome DLL.
