RE: Possible to send out mail for CFerror..?
We use cferror and type is exception in the cfapp file...then template_error.cfm file is the pretty page with error info for the users, and it shoots off via cfmail a report to us. It does work Regards, Eric J Hoffman Head Tech Geek DataStream Connexion www.datastreamconnexion.com Delivering Creative Data Solutions -Original Message- From: Chad [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, September 20, 2002 8:23 AM To: CF-Talk Subject: RE: Possible to send out mail for CFerror..? I tried using CFerror, but you cannot put any CF tags in the error page like CFMail. I am trying a hack now where you edit the actual error page that CF uses. \CFusionMX\wwwroot\WEB-INF\exception\detail.cfm Of course this is a server wide change and I am doing it on MX. I don't know if the error page in 4.5/5.0 is open source. > -Original Message- > From: han peng [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Thursday, September 19, 2002 10:23 PM > To: CF-Talk > Subject: Possible to send out mail for CFerror..? > > Hi all.. is it possible to configure CFError to send out a mail to > administrator automatically.. when user hits an error.? > > > i tried putting cfmail inside CFerror codes... > but unsuccessful > > > please advice.. > > han > > __ Get the mailserver that powers this list at http://www.coolfusion.com FAQ: http://www.thenetprofits.co.uk/coldfusion/faq Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/cf-talk@houseoffusion.com/ Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/index.cfm?sidebar=lists

RE: Possible to send out mail for CFerror..?
Use something like and then put cfmail in that template. Be careful not to write code that could cause an error in here though or you could bring down the server. > -Original Message- > From: han peng [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Friday, 20 September 2002 3:23 p.m. > To: CF-Talk > Subject: Possible to send out mail for CFerror..? > > > Hi all.. is it possible to configure CFError to send out a > mail to administrator automatically.. when user hits an error.? > > > i tried putting cfmail inside CFerror codes... > but unsuccessful > > > please advice.. > > han > > __ Structure your ColdFusion code with Fusebox.
