Am I being daft here, or is the problem because you aren't selecting name in your query? I thought you had to select the field you were using the WHERE clause on. Random shot in the dark: I seem to recall that MS SQL server doesn't like fields that end in things like _date (maybe it's CF that doesn't like 'em, actually). It would be silly, but could it be the table name itself, since it ends in _text? Don't think that's it, really, but what the hey. Luck be with you! -PS guess my real advice would be, ignore the line number, as sometimes that can be misleading, and send you on a red herring. Perhaps it's the sponsor.name, or some such, in reality, and for whatever reason, it's firing the wrong error? Check the username and the password for the datasource in the CF Admin. What if you put square brackets around the column [name], or try using a different column for a test to see if the compiler is confused between name and name (or, is that name, and name?... now I'm confused).
