Jon,
Before you assume that you have moved beyond the capabilities of VSS,
determine whether you are effectively using all of VSS's parallel
development features, such as pinning, labeling, branching, and merging. If
you are only performing serial check-in/check-out, then you are using only
about 5% of its capabilities. VSS can and will easily support the most
complex multi-version parallel development needs if you use all of its
capabilities.
