RE: dancing 'round the mullberry bush

2003-01-23 Thread Andrew Tyrone
This is interesting, because I have files scheduled on multiple sites on one
of our CF 5.0 machines; another client is still running CF 4.5.1 sp2 on
redundant machines (east and west coasts) and the scheduled templates on
those run fine as well. I get reports from all scheduled tasks daily. I
know there is a certain syntax trickiness to some options in the scheduled
tasks section of the administrator, I just can't remember now what they are.
As long as all of these events are working for me, I don't want to touch
them. We don't have any CFMX servers in production yet, but since the
scheduler seems to work for you, it probably won't for me!

Hi,
CF Schedule is most probably the most unreliable tag in CF.
Like you, we have never been able to make much use of it on CF5.

dancing 'round the mullberry bush

2003-01-22 Thread Owens, Howard
I first tried long ago to get CFSchedule to actually, like, you know, run a
scheduled task.

I've tried many times over the years on all kinds of different machines,
different versions, different tasks to get the damn thing to work.

Ain't never worked for me.

Just got a new CFMX server ... first code I put on it was a simple little
scheduled task. It's executed faithfully twice now.

So I'm dancing a little jig.

Just wanted to share.
