RE: high profile CF sites...

2001-01-10 Thread Philip Arnold - ASP

 Just had a look at the mbe siteanyone have a clue as to why
 they would
 set up their ALT tags like thisit looks weird in the browser
 and seems a little silly to me?

 IMG alt='MBE#13;#10;#13;#10;#13;#10;#13;#10;
Online, Connect#13;#10;#13;#10;#13;#10;#13;#10;
for Success, "The Complete Internet Access Service)' border=0
height=89 src="images/Splash/mbe6a1.jpg" width=146

In IE5 it displays a long box for the alt, works quite nicely, but not
brilliant

or conversely...is this some kind of bug, error or other strangeness which
could be introduced into a page?...I know without source it's kinda hard to
know...but I don't want me alt tags to look like theirs...!

Intel ... suprised me, though they may be colo hosting this part of their
site.  Thoughts

SLOW as X-Mas .. I was getting DB Connection errors the other day, so they
must be using a really overwork DB server.

Intel uses all sorts of stuff. the company I work is doing a site of
theirs in ASP.

I bet if you look hard enough, you can find a portion of one of their
sites running just about any language.

RE: high profile CF sites...

2001-01-09 Thread Gary McNeel, Jr.

My guess is they were trying to get the ALT text to step-down in a box
format.

ex.
MBE

Online, Connect

or Success, "The Complete Internet Access Service)

It just did not work. Or maybe they want nbsp;?
