@charlie - found this on Andrews site:
http://www.andyscott.id.au/index.cfm/2006/9/12/Proof-of-Concept

Now I have this:

sb is:
 i.e. the
object containing the c current repository & methods available.

No such file or revision

Interestingly I can now wrap things around this (like a textarea). So
this is a great improvement over what I had before that reset the
stream and cleared everything else from the screen.

[cfaussie] Re: CFquery SUM

2007-03-07 Thread M@ Bourke
Hi Claude,

This isn't syntactically best practice but if I understand your question do.

Select fieldnames (Select sum(cost) as total_cost
from transactions_table
where transaction_month like 'December') AS total_cost
from transactions_table
where transaction_month like 'December'

this way every total_cost in the output will be the same

[cfaussie] CFquery SUM

2007-03-07 Thread claude raiola

Hi

I have a query and I am wanting to determine the total sum of the cost field
for all those matching records so that I can determine the total amount of
cost of all records found by the query

I know I can create the formula to add the values through each pass of the
output of the cfloop of the query, however I am wondering if I can do the
same within the query eg

Select sum(cost) as total_cost,*
from transactions_table
where transaction_month like 'December'

so the the value #monthly_cost.total_cost# has value of the sum of all cost
values from the records found in the query

Kind Regards

2007-03-07 Thread Andrew Muller

With ApolloCamp only days away (http://apollocamp.eventbrite.com/) and
webDU being graced with two Apollo team members (M1 & M2 - the two
Mikes) perhaps we can have an early bird:BoF/double lucky purple
dragon get together of some kind for interested parties... Ah the
glassy eyes of the faithful!

I'd never say no to sitting in on some FarCry goodness, even if I have
to drag my butt out of bed to be there at 8am :)
