[cfaussie] Re: cfmail error - anyone know what to do about this one?
Thanks Andrew, Peter. First of all, all hotfixes have been applied, and i have other sites on the same box that arent showing this error on CFMAIL. Second, since it's on a shared server, I dont get access to the logs, or to the Undelivr folder. Any other ideas where to look for what might be causing the error? Mike, Can you place a cftry/cfcatch around the cfmail tag and cfdump the error, there must be more info than what you posted. Have you tried sending to your normal email address as a test, I assume you did with the same error. I am still assuming that the cfmail tag is using the wrong server name, username and password, and / or it might be relay issue. If the error doesn't give any more of a hint, then you might need to talk to the people you host with and they can look into the logs. Thanks i'll explore that some more Andrew. It's actually a site right alongside 4 of my own, and i'm using the exact came cfmail tag as the one i use on my own sites, so that's how i can be so sure it's not something like an updater not applied. And it's 7.30 on Saturday night - what the hell are you doing working?? my excuse is i'm in the hospital attached to cardiac monitors and i have little else to do. I'd be bored out of my mind without something to excercise my mind. What's your excuse? Andy ia right - check the outgoing ports. Google have screwed it up of late (ports) but no reason to blame CF or any other SMTP implementation. In fact I can receive but not send via Outlook so WTF??
