[cfaussie] flex 2 beta flash player
Hey guys Just starting to have a play with FLEX and I cannot seem to install the flash player V9 which is required. I run the installer and the machine reboots and when it restarts and logs in, I get a message saying it couldn't register the flash play OCX and the player install does not continue. Has anyone else had this problem? If so can I get around it? [cfaussie] Flex 2 Beta on the Mac?
It seems to me that half of the components to get the Flex 2 beta running on the Mac are not yet available? The CF/Flex connector only has a windows download, and the Flex builder beta seems to only work in windows for now? No where on the actual flex download page, does it say that the tools needed to develop flex apps do not work on the mac... some are there, but non functional... some aren't there, but I initially assumed they were optional components. [cfaussie] FLEX 2 - text item not being recognised
I have a Panel control with multiple text and label controls within. I am able to assign values to the text property of these controls in via a function in an external actionscript file. I have now added a new text control to the panel and I am unable to assign a value to its text property. In actionscript when I type in the control name and enter the . I get a drop down of properties and methods to select. For this new text control I get nothing. Its as if it does not exist on the page.
