Re: [Chat] Liam Flynn's Ale House soon to open

Steve:

You are correct. I was thinking 25th Street not North Avenue. However,
CVCA boundaries do extend south to 21st Street so this issue may be of
interest to a resident who lives nearby. If so, I just wanted to let the
residents
know that the CVCA Land Use Committee is here if needed. If not, that's OK
too.

Keep in mind that this establishment is south of Charles Village and south
of the benefits district. It is within Station North. Why would CVCA get
 involved?

[Chat] gettting from CV to National airport??

2011-06-30 Thread langwidge

I just found out that flights out of national are often much much less
expensive than some flights out of BWI.

The problem is how does one get to National.

Has anyone done this using public transportation for at least the latter part
of the drive??

Thanks,

There's a stop on Washington's MetroRail Yellow Line right at the National
Airport terminal. Quite easy to get to.

You could do the whole trip from Charles Village via public transit. Take MARC
from Penn Station to DC's Union Station, take the Red Line two stops to
Chinatown, switch to the Yellow Line there.

Google Maps actually will show you transit direction from anywhere to anywhere
in the region. Very useful.

By the time you buy your MARC ticket and Metro farecard, not to mentiuon the
extra time, you would probably do just as well leaving from BWI. Light rail
goes there, too! Time is worth money, as well.

[Chat] MX Energy

2011-06-30 Thread Eric Dymond
Has anyone else been getting visits from this company? They're some sort of
energy broker that's sending out door to door salespeople who are incredibly
aggressive. We've called the company several times to complain, but they
keep coming by.
