Re: [Chat] Power company rep
They're a wholesaler. Their whole schtick is to sell you a electricity package that's more analogous to a fixed rate with overages cell phone plan than a pay-as-you-use like your current BGE service. They come out because under deregulation, if you buy their package they can force BGE to buy a bigger share of their wholesale power generation. Not to be overly cynical, but I assume these guys have done a ton more math than the average consumer and you're not likely to actually turn any savings in the end on the complicated plans they sell no matter what you pick. -- Rob Carlson [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://vees.net/ On Tue, 15 Apr 2008, Greg Alexander wrote: Has anyone else had a guy come around today in a yellow embroided company shirt saying he was with the company who supplies power to BGE? I cannot remember the name of the company he said he was with (I'm on Claritin for allergies and out of it). He said I may be eligible for an eight percent discount off my bill and he needed to see a copy of my latest BGE bill. I told him that we opted out of all paper bills and pay online and he said OK and walked off. Kind of weird... ___ Chat mailing list Chat@charlesvillage.info http://charlesvillage.info/mailman/listinfo/chat_charlesvillage.info archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/chat@charlesvillage.info/
Re: [Chat] [Discussion] Fwd:Re: Baltimore City Frequently Asked Questions: Plastic recycling
These buckets make great worm bins for vermicomposting. There are probably more than a few people who would take them if you posted on Baltimore Freecycle. -- Rob Carlson [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://vees.net/ On Jan 10, 2008, at 5:57 PM, Stephen J Gewirtz wrote: As you will see, I inquired whether the buckets that cat litter comes in can be recycled. Apparently, the answer is NO. Personally, I can see no reason that only bottles and jars can be recycled, but obviously my cat litter buckets will be added to what goes into the landfills. Re: [Chat] Board of Zoning Appeals
Thanks to everyone for your advice on dealing with the city zoning board. I gave him all the information I could, and hopefully the hearing today will go in the neighborhood's favor. -- Rob Carlson [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://vees.net/ On Thu, 1 Feb 2007, Rob Carlson wrote: Does anyone have experience with zoning hearings at the city Board of Appeals?
