There have already been several smaller shocks this afternoon, not big enough to feel here, according to the USGS. http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsus/Quakes/quakes_all.php -val- www.bowerbox.com bowerbox.etsy.com On Tue, Aug 23, 2011 at 4:36 PM, Stephen J Gewirtz gewi...@bellatlantic.net wrote: From what I am reading, the largest earthquake centered when this one was centered was a 4.8 in 1875. So I take seriously the advice that a bigger shock may occur later, although probably that will not happen. Be prepared! Where in the city is evacuated? Didn't most people just go outside, realize that nothing much was going on, then go back inside? Dirt bikers have been disrupting traffic in Baltimore for years, earthquake or no. jf On Aug 23, 2011, at 4:54 PM, gasp...@aol.com wrote: HI Steve: What bothers me is: with the entire City being pretty much evacuated. Make your own opinion, but at 3:00 PM the Jones Falls was backed up for miles -- 25th Street was totally backed up from Howard Street to Greenmount Ave. I am just reporting what I saw--you don't have to believe what I saw. Sorry I disturbed you Joshua. Offices all over the City were told to close and go home. Maybe you should listen to the radio when a serious event happens.
