Isn't any "documentation" built programmatically necessarily incapable of
adding any information?

Re: [Jchat] J Documentation

2014-08-28 Thread Michael Dykman
To be fair: I have been using doxygen for well over 10 years and I would
have to say that the GUI is superfluous. All it does is write a text-based
config file which the actual generation process reads. Far more often than
not, I just edit by hand. There is no real need for a Joxygen GUI IMHO.

Some graphviz diagrams would be useful though.

The private version does generate HTML - see the help link already given.

Re: [Jchat] J Documentation

I would be interested in helping where possible.Just out of interest, since
it's called Joxygen, I'm assuming it will eventually want to have as much
Doxygen functionality as possible?
Perhaps it would be good to have a GUI?

Anything that helps build documentation better/faster is something I think is
of great importance. My skillset is a little unconventional but I'd love to
help.

Re: [Jchat] J Documentation

Unfortunately, scriptdoc was never much used and has been abandoned.

A much better replacement was written by Ric, and can be see in the addons
svn in docs/joxygen. It has not been distributed as an addon yet. An
extended private version of this was used to build the standard library
help files at http://jsoftware.com/docs/help802/user/library.htm.

Ric and I just need time to merge the two and release it as an addon.

Any help with this would be much appreciated. Please contact us for the
latest version.
