Probably free-ed up a little extra power as flowmasters dyno lower then almost any muffler on the market.    - Original Message - From: Ken's Email Sent: Saturday, July 26, 2003 11:18 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Chevelle-list] Dynomax Ultraflows vs. Flowmaster 40's= results   I just changed my muffler system on my 67 Chevelle. I went with 2 and one half inch tubing from headers back to Dynaflow Ultraflow Welded Mufflers and then to tailpipes. I took off the Flowmaster 40's. I had the tailpipes turned down in the rear so the bumpers don't get dirty.   Result:  The Dynaflows are slightly quieter and still have that good idle growl. But not so loud that I can't hear the stereo. Much better system in my opinion. The flowmaster 40s were just too loud for me.   Thanks for the advice on this list.   Ken McDee Do you Yahoo!?The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo.

[Chevelle-list] Hot Rod TV

2003-07-27 Thread John W. Lonadier, Jr.
Title: Message

I just got finished
watching Hot Rod TV and during the show there was a shot of my car on the road.
The shot was taken from the reflection of the outside rearview mirror, the car
that was falling in behind me was a very nice 55 Chevy. Then as I was watching
it for the second time, I taped it, I saw a shot of me sitting on the hay bails
that were used for the barstool races in New Orleans.

I guess Ron was writing to himself on that last part. That's all I can
figure. In the meantime, he is still refusing to return my property even though
this is his mistake. I have written and told him that this course of action
makes him nothing more than a thief. So now he is going to "set them along
the road" for me. Really nice. That's the kind of customer service that
you can expect if you deal with this guy.

[Chevelle-list] Dash conversion/wiring question

2003-07-27 Thread Bill Lessenberry
I'm planning on changing the dash on my 68 SS to the gauge type. I have
the complete cluster w/instrument harness to the fuse box. I'm going to
use the engine harness that's in the car & add wires to the existing
bulkhead connector to hook up everything in the engine compartment.

I have a question regarding the ammeter wiring. The factory diagrams that
I have do not show the gauge package for the Chevelle, so I'm using the
Corvette diagram as a guide. It appears that I can run the black/white
wire from the bulkhead connector to the hot side of the horn relay where
the red wire from the alternator is, and run the solid black wire to
the positive junction block on the radiator support. Both of these wires
will have the orange fusible links installed at the connections. Is this
correct?

The other question is--on the factory diagrams do the numbers next to the
color code indicate the gauge of the wire? In other words is 18 BRN a 18
gauge brown wire?

Thanks for the help.

RE: [Chevelle-list] Fw: your site

2003-07-27 Thread John Nasta
Thanks Jason,

As you can see, Ron Miller has "a free conscience" about his bad work.

I confirmed yesterday that Ron also did not return my car cover. I asked him
to send it back and he said that I should have my friend Rick pick it up. He
is going out of his way to make his mistakes as difficult and costly as
possible to me. Of course a decent and honest person would have made up for
his mistake by returning the property at his own expense, but Ron seems to
be on a mission to prove beyond any doubt that he is not a decent and honest
person.

As for the comment about me not paying enough to have it done the way I
wanted, one of the ways I wanted it was roadworthy. Another of the ways that
I wanted it was for Ron not to burn through the paint. I guess $9,000.00
wasn't enough to cover such lofty expectations. I only wish he would have
told me that up front, but of course Ron never quotes prices.

Just remember Ron's words: "It does not matter how the vehicle left here I
did not owe him a restoration". What an odd thing to say considering that
his business is called "Miller & Woy Restorations". If he did not owe me a
restoration, what was the $9,000.00 for? Well, that's where the "free
conscience" (no conscience) thing come in. Well, here you have it folks. Ron
Miller admits that even though you might pay him $9,000.00 to restore your
car, he does not owe you a restoration and it does not matter (to him) how
your vehicle leaves his shop.

[Chevelle-list] Back on track? 2 Weeks & counting!

2003-07-27 Thread Pelle Andersson

In two weeks I'll go up to my parents place
again & MY CAR :-)
Back in business again after an economically
depressing disaster in Juli :-(
Going to change the front coils (at last) &
maybe the rear ones as well & perhaps also
the front brake discs.
Haven't found a garage in Stockholm yet that I
can afford & I'm still feeling bad about that
I maybe messed things up a bit for the club I was
supposed to join, but sh_t happens :-(

Lesson learned.
1. Have a $ buffer.
2. Be realistic about your economy.
3. Check everything out BEFORE
or you'll get stuck with your beard in the
letterbox!
4. Food IS more important than spare
parts.

Best regards
Pelle

is a big problem because beginning 8/3 I have to start storing the car outside
