I like your dash set-up,Charles. Covan has introduced a new dash for 68-69 owners and I want one for my 69 Protourer.

Ok, it's not the best picture, but there it is. My new Covan's dash, and Black faced TPI Gauges. I think it has a nice Old School feel to it.
Hopefully before the weekend is up, I can get my car wired.

I have one question though. Will the Big Block springs from another year fit my car? Autozone does not have a 65 listed as offered with a big block. I was thinking of getting some '66 or '67 Big block springs, and motor mount from Autozone. They are local, and fairly cheap (i.e. No shipping charges).

Thanks
Charles

Carlisle is only a month away and it will be very strange knowing that he

[Chevelle-list] 55 chevy

2004-03-25 Thread VIPMustang

I just purchase a 55 chevy with a 454 and drum brakes. I would like to change them over to power front disc brakes. I can get a change over kit from c.a.r.s. for $750. But I was wondering if there is another chevy out there that is interchangeable with the 55 that I could get my hands on for a little less money. Any web sites would also be helpful.

I'm very sad, too. Chip was a good friend of mine and I always looked forward
to our LT5 Registry gathering at Corvettes at Carlisle. Quality men like him
just do not come along very often. May the Good Lord watch over Judy and the
rest of the family. Godspeed,Chip.

go and pick up a super chevy mag they have A:OT of brake change kits in there.
I was just reading on them today most are around 350 and up and thats with new
everything. If not you can go spindle(only) and save a few bucks by buying over
the counter brakes (ie 78-88) brake swap. it about 209 bucks.

just shop around you will find it ... check E bay also I have had pretty good luck
with them also.
but I would not buy from a restore-er type CO. they kinda jake up the price 100 or so bucks.
