[Chevelle-list] Custom wwindshield wiper motot assembly

2004-08-30 Thread Scott Somers
Anybod got a source for a tricked up ( as in small and shiny) wiper motor
assembly to replace the big ugly stock one in a 68. Don't want a washer
part, just a wiper motor - chrome is nice. Would like a bolt on substitute.

[Chevelle-list] question about the back pad

2004-08-30 Thread Chevelle
hey guys,

What is the pad behind the back seat where the speakers are? is there a name for it?
if so do they reproduce it? the one on my 1970 chevelle is all bent outta shape and
does not lay flat anymore and it seems it is only cardboard and some black plastic.

Apreciate the info,

That's referred to as the rear package tray... usually pretty cheap
anywhere you look for one.

They cost more to ship than they are worth. Try to buy one from a local
vendor or at a show / swap meet.

2004-08-30 Thread Skylark701
They ship OVERSIZE so freight may be more than the package tray, and it may still have a crease in it when you get it. I'll try to make my own next time. They start at $21.95 from Y-1 for a Nova, mesh for a Skylark is about twice that.

Scott, Contact www.detriotspeed.com. They have a real neat replacement unit
that gives you five delays and two real speeds. I have installed two of
these units and they work great.

I thought of them too but checked their site and only found 64-65 and 66-67
units. Maybe I didn't look deep enough or maybe they've expanded their
production. I think (?) Herb Lumpp bought one of them and loves it. I know
somebody did and likes it. G

If your car has the hideaway wipers you probably have no choice except the
original motor. You could take the covers off of the motor have them
chromed.
