SS Chevelles were built at all plants
building the 70 models; Atlanta, Van Nuys, Arlington, Baltimore, Flint, Kansas City, and Oshawa. Without some sort
of paperwork or protect-o-plate, there’s no real way to tell if it’s
a SS or just has some SS options added by a previous owner.

complete serpentine belt system with a/c compressor,p/s pump,alternator,
water pump,and all brackets & pulleys to me for $100. I'd like to buy it and
install the system on my 69's SBC.
Any do's, don'ts, or helpful hints?

This has been around on the internet several times, and believe me it is a
complete farce.  First they do not have any way of doing the tracking that
is stating, and second neither company are that free with their money.  I
was foolish enough to try it the first time, and didn't hear one word or get
a cent back.  The most that could come of it is that you are sending out

There is a guy on Ebay (Davesjunkyard) who sells the repo steering 
wheels.He buys damaged and overstocked repo parts from one of the 
suppliers. Most of the wheels he puts on Ebay  are cracked.  
I too have seen them and don't think I would buy one. I have heard from 
others the quality wasn't that great.
