RE: [Chevelle-list] RE: 1969 accelerator cable - need part number
p.s. This cable (3973862) fits all 1969-72 w/ 350 & 4bbl. I still need to know the right way to attach it to the pedal. The local Chevy dealer says he should be able to have it by tomorrow morning. That's awesome news! Still available at a local Chevy dealer (although they said it would take a day or two to come in).

RE: [Chevelle-list] RE: 1969 accelerator cable - need part number
The local GM dealer says he can probably get me one if I can provide the part number. Does anybody have it? The cable fits all 1969-72 w/ 350 & 4bbl. The OPGI code is PP00057 and they have a picture of it. Unfortunately I can't wait a week for it to come from CA (and to pay OPG's shipping rates on a $20 part is also something I'd rather avoid if possible). [Chevelle-list] 1969 accelerator cable connection
The accelerator cable in my 1969 El Camino broke today (and the pin that holds the pedal on broke last week). Does any body know or have a picture of the correct way to connect the cable to the pedal arm? There is a crimped end on the cable and my old one was held on with a hose clamp. It served its purpose but I would like to connect the new one properly especially since that is the juncture where it failed. Thanks, John Nasta
